WAR SPRINTS FEATURE LINEUPS SET FOR SATURDAY'S HOCKETT/MCMILLIN MEMORIAL FINALE

Wheatland, MO (September 22, 2018) - Following two nights of preliminary action at Lucas Oil Speedway, we have seen a record-setting field of 78 drivers and a total of 238 laps turned in POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprints League competition. Heading into Saturday's finale of the Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial, the feature event lineups are set with a pair of 12-lap C-Mains, a pair of 15-lap B-Mains, a unique pole shuffle, and the 30-lap main event to decide this year's champion.

Utilizing a points-based format, drivers competed for points every single time they took to the track on their preliminary night, yes, even during hot laps. From group qualifying to heat races to qualifiers to semis and the preliminary feature, points were up for grabs all night long, and those points were crucial. Following the conclusion of Friday's show, only the top 12 point-getters would lock-in for Saturday's main event with 13th-44th in points splitting to two B-Mains, and 45th-78th splitting to two C-Mains.

Earning LRB, Inc. #HighPointMan honors, Kyle Cummins of Princeton, Indiana was the top point-getter when all the dust settled, as he used a preliminary night that included quicktime honors, a heat race win from fourth, a sixth-to-third qualifier run, and eighth-to-third feature bid to score an unmatched 240 points. Friday's runner-up finisher, Wyatt Burks, is slotted second with 235 points and will join Cummins along with two transfers in the fifth and final round of the RAMS Racing pole shuffle to determine tonight's main event lineup.

Also locking-in to the main event was Thursday's runner-up finisher of Kyle Clark in third, Brownsburg, Indiana's Landon Simon in fourth, Thursday night winner of Terry Richards in fifth, Friday night winner of Anthony Nicholson in sixth, Current WAR Sprints point leader of Riley Kreisel in seventh, Oklahoma's Matt Moore in eighth, Colten Cottle in the No. 5C in ninth, Mario Clouser of Auburn, Illinois in tenth, Risley Racing driver Ty Hulsey in eleventh, and Chris Phillips in the twelfth position.

Following hot laps, the two, 12-lap C-Mains will kick off the night for the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprints League with only the top four finishers moving onto B-Main action. The top 12 lock-in drivers will then take to the track for hot laps, followed by their five-round RAMS Racing pole shuffle. A pair of 15-lap B-Mains will then run to determine the final six rows of the main event, as the top six finishers will transfer from each B-Main. Then, the 24-car, 30-lap main event takes place to decide this year's Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial champion.
